Some of the newest bishops in the Anglican family from around the world are spending the day in London as part of the Anglican Communion’s New Bishops’ course. Some 28 bishopsare spending the morning at the Anglican Communion Office before heading to Lambeth Palace for a meeting with Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby.

Pope Francis has apologised for behaviour towards Christians from non-Roman Catholic churches that “has not reflected Gospel values.” The Pope made his comments during a Vespers service in the Basilica of St Paul Outside the Walls in Rome last night attended by the Archbishop of Canterbury’s Representative in Rome, Archbishop David Moxon.

The Anglican mission agency Mission to Seafarers has teamed up with the North American Maritime Ministry Association to launch a new international digital centre for Seafarers’ Ministry. The MARE project will bring together a number of seafarers’ ministry organisations to deliver support, information and professional development using social media.

Anglicans and other Christians are being challenged to take enjoy a candlelit dinner as part of a series of challenges for a “carbon fast” during Lent. The initiative comes from the Anglican Church of Southern Africa and is being supported by the Anglican Communion’s Environmental Network (ACEN).

Today the Primates agreed how they would walk together in the grace and love of Christ. This agreement acknowledges the significant distance that remains but confirms their unanimous commitment to walk together. The Primates regret that it appears that this document has been leaked in advance of their communiqué tomorrow. In order to avoid speculation the document is being released in full.
