Death of Queen Elizabeth II: Condolences from Primate of Anglican Church of Southern Africa

The Archbishop of Cape Town, the Most Revd Dr Thabo Makgoba, Primate of the Anglican Church of Southern Africa, has issued a statement following the death of Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday.

Archbishop Thabo said: “On behalf of the Anglican Church of Southern Africa, I send our heartfelt condolences to the British people and to all those in the Commonwealth for whom she was Head of State.

“May Queen Elizabeth II rest in peace and rise in glory. We send our greetings to the new King and his Consort, and pray that God will sustain him and his people in the days to come.
