Dear fellow citizens,

Easter is a season we remember and celebrate the glorious resurrection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! The Resurrection of Jesus is the hope and central truth of the Christian faith. If Christ has not been raised, then the Christian faith would have been useless and meaningless.

As we celebrate Easter this year, we focus on the story of the two disciples of Jesus who walked on the road to Emmaus (Luke 24:13-35). The journey was full of sadness and frustrations because of what happened to their Lord, but this journey ended with excitement, hope, and great joy of transformation. This story speaks to us in all our fears, frustrations and worries. We should all be encouraged that our painful walk frustration, fears and worries can become a pilgrimage toward peace and stability in our nation, because in all difficult situations the risen Lord walks beside us.

May this Easter season be to us a period in which all our worries, our fears and struggles can be turned into hope and God's fulfillments in our lives and our nation.

Happy Easter.
