Newcastle: A Pula Celebration and farewell to the Bishop of Botswana

[Diocese of Botswana] On Sunday 15 June at 6.00pm at the Church of St James and St Basil, Fenham, Newcastle, a celebration and thanksgiving service took place to mark the renewal of the Companion Link Agreement between the Dioceses of Botswana and Newcastle, and to bid farewell to the Bishop of Botswana, the Rt Revd Metlha Beleme, his wife Thapelo and the Revd Professor James Amanze at the end of their visit to the North East of England.

A copy of the new Agreement, signed by the Bishops of Newcastle and Botswana at the Newcastle Diocesan Clergy Conference in Edinburgh this week, will be presented to Bishop Metlha.
