An Urdu translation of 'Growing Together in Unity and Mission', the 2007 Agreed Statement of the International Anglican - Roman Catholic Commission for Unity and Mission, was formally launched at the Cathedral Church of the Resurrection in Lahore, Pakistan, on Friday 24 October.

During the ceremony, the Bishop of Lahore and Moderator of the Church of Pakistan, the Rt Revd Dr Alexander John Malik, accompanied by Roman Catholic Fr Emmanuel Asi, chairperson of Maktaba-e-Anaveem Pakistan[1], presented a copy of the publication to the Archbishop of Canterbury's Secretary for International and Interfaith Relations, the Revd Canon Anthony Ball.

The translation and publication of the Agreed Statement has been co-ordinated by Bishop's Advisor, the Revd Rana Youab Khan, who said, 'We hope this Urdu translation of 'Growing Together in Unity and Mission' will provide further impetus to dialogue and co-operation between the Church of Pakistan and the Roman Catholic Church in Pakistan, and the Churches of both traditions around the globe. Rana is an executive board member of the Theological Institute for Laity (TIL) in Pakistan which serves as an ecumenical forum for research and publication and provided funds for the project.
