The Ven Edmund Efoyikeye Akanya has been elected Bishop of the Missionary Diocese of Kebbi, Church of Nigeria.

The Rt Revd Gordon Beardy, Suffragan Bishop in the Diocese of Keewatin, has been elected Bishop of Keewatin, Anglican Church of Canada. He is Canada's first aboriginal person to become a diocesan bishop.

The Rt Revd Charles E Bennison, Jr, Associate Professor of Pastoral Theology at the Episcopal Divinity School, Cambridge, USA, has been elected Coadjutor Bishop for the Diocese of Pennsylvania, ECUSA. The bishop coadjutor will succeed the Rt Revd Allen L Bartlett Jr, Bishop of Pennsylvania, upon his retirement.

The Ven Yesufu Lumu has been elected Bishop of the Missionary Diocese of Dutse, Church of Nigeria.

The Very Revd Gabriel H Pepple has been elected Bishop of the Niger Delta, Church of Nigeria.

The Ven Tanimu Samari has been elected Bishop of the Missionary Diocese of Jalingo, Church of Nigeria.

The Ven Raymond Bruce Smith, Archdeacon of the Downs, has been appointed Assistant Bishop in the Diocese of Brisbane with special responsibility for the Western Region of the diocese, Anglican Church of Australia. He will succeed the Rt Revd Clyde Wood who has been appointed as Bishop of North Queensland.

The Very Revd Ityobee Ugede has been elected Bishop of the Missionary Diocese of Oturkpo, Church of Nigeria.

The Ven Daniel Abu Yisa has been elected Bishop of the Missionary Diocese of Damaturu, Church of Nigeria.
