The Diocese of Cork, Cloyne and Ross has launched its web site, which contains a welcome from the Bishop, practical information about the Church of Ireland, parish profiles, and links to other parts of the Anglican family.
"It's a very exciting development which can only progress and become more interesting as time goes on," said the Bishop of Cork, the Rt Revd Paul Colton. "Indeed when you think that within a decade there will be a billion Internet users world wide the potential is unlimited."
The Rector of Bantry and Durrus, the Revd Paul Willoughby has set up the web site on behalf of the Diocesan Millennium Working Group. The Diocese will now have a valuable resource accessible by millions of users throughout the world. Unlike a book or magazine, which cannot change one published, the web pages will change and evolve continually.
The Diocese of Cork, Cloyne and Ross web site can be found at http://www.cork.anglican.org/.
